Battery Innovation Days 2025

Welcome to the fifth edition of the Battery Innovation Days (BID) that will take place in Graz, Austria and online, on 2-3 December 2025.

This annual event brings together leading voices from across the European battery value chain — including researchers, industry experts, and policymakers — to explore the latest market developments and innovations in battery technology.

Organised by BATTERY 2030+ and the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), in collaboration with the Batteries 1st and 2nd IPCEIs, BID provides a platform for discussions on the technological and scientific advancements that will shape the future of battery Research & Innovation in Europe. Topics will cover materials, cell design, manufacturing processes, and recycling, with a strong focus on sustainability and industrial impact.

The programme includes two days of presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Attendees will also have the chance to visit exhibitor booths, meet young researchers, and attend the Battery Young Research Award ceremony, which recognises outstanding academic contributions to the field.
