German-Swedish partnership for innovation: Batteries as a new area of strategic importance
Last week, Germany and Sweden renewed their partnership for innovation and cooperation for a sustainable future and added batteries as one of the key areas to cooperate on. This illustrates:
- the strategic importance given by governments to the battery field,
- the value of cooperation as a key success factor,
- the significance of the European Battery Alliance and other key EU initiatives such as Battery 2030+.
We welcome this type of initiatives and look forward to further cooperation between Member States.
