Hannover Messe | EU-Norway business matchmaking event on raw materials and batteries

Are you a start-up with an innovative idea on the market? Or a mature company interested in new partnerships? Make sure to join the EU-Norway business matchmaking under the strategic partnership on raw materials and batteries taking place at Hannover Messe.

On March 21st, Maroš Šefčovič, Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal, Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight of the European Commission, and Jan Christian Vestre, Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) launching a strategic partnership to develop sustainable land-based raw materials and battery value chains. This is an important building bloc and another tangible result of the EU-Norway Green Alliance, announced by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre in April 2023.

Organised by the European Commission and moderated by EBA250 Policy Manager Ilka von Dalwigk, the matchmaking session will give the chance to start-ups and scale-ups to connect with EU and Norwegian investors and companies interested in developing mutual cooperation. The matchmaking event will commence with opening speeches from Kerstin Jorna, Director General of DG GROW, and Jan Christian Vestre, Minister for Industry and Trade, Norway. Following this, there will be business pitches from 10-12 EU and Norway stakeholders, including Siemens, Vianode, Morrow, Bergen Carbon Solutions, Skaland Graphite, and others. Concluding remarks will be delivered by Frank Braathen, CEO of Digital Industries at Siemens Norway.
