Nordic EV Summit: Oslo’s agenda today is the rest of the world’s tomorrow
The Nordic EV-Summit 2019 took place last week in Oslo, Norway. Whereas it is acknowledge that we need to ramp up EV production to speed up the energy transition, one can wonder if the industry is able to deliver without causing harm to people or nature. Thore Sekkenes, EBA Programme Director, Industry at InnoEnergy participated in a panel discussion along Northvolt, Amnesty and Lithium Werks to discuss the ethics of batteries. Securing access to sustainably produced raw materials as well as recycling them in a circular economy of batteries are some of the priority actions addressed by EBA250 initiative. More than 60 industrial and innovation actors are actively collaborating on these actions.
